Max no longer needs his IV to keep his blood sugars up. He's doing fine on mother's milk at this point. He's been a little tough to feed the last 24 hours or so. He doesn't want to eat the full 50 ml every 3 hours, so the doctor has put us on a 'feed as needed' basis. We'll likely try less food more often, like every 2 hours, and see how that goes.
Max also had 'the big snip' today. Doctor called it 'the little snip' but Daddy likes to think of it as 'the big snip.' He did fine, so we were told, Mom and I got the heck out of the NICU and got some breakfast. It would of broke our hearts to hear him cry like that. But he's fine.
So, Mom and I are hopeful he'll be home either tonight or early tomorrow. We'll keep you posted.

Welcome MAX to the world!
Tait,
I'm so glad to hear that Chaille is doing better as well as Max. Thanks for doing the blog for us all to keep up with. That's terrific that Chaille is working on breastfeeding. It is so important for Max, and I know how great it is to have strong support from your hubby on that front. If you run into any breastfeeding issues, let me know. I've been through lots of issues with my kids and had to call a friend with questions at three times a week with my first one. Blessings to you all.

Chaille,
Sounds like things are going well for you and Max now after a rough start. I just want you to know my prayers are with you all. Having just gone through my own "rough start" with my little one in Sept. I know how tough this time can be. It looks like you'll get to take him home soon -thank goodness. Our little one has just been improving and is now a little miracle baby. We will pray that things continue going so well for Max. :)

Tait and Chaille:
I'm having a Max attack - I miss him so much. I hope he starts the New Year at home. I won't go another day without seeing him, I miss his adorable little self! Give him lots of little hugs and kisses!
XOXO
Love,
